J. Jonathan Hlavinka was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on August 24, 1963.
Mr. Hlavinka attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a Batchelor of Arts in Plan II in 1985. He subsequently attended
the University of Texas School of Law from which he received his law degree in 1989. Upon graduation and his admission to the State Bar
of Texas in 1989, Mr. Hlavinka became an associate attorney with the law firm of Hutcheson & Grundy, L.L.P. in Houston. After practicing
at his own firm in Houston for over ten years, Mr. Hlavinka joined McKinney & Cooper in 2011.
Mr. Hlavinka's practice focuses on general civil litigation and appellate work with an emphasis on insurance coverage disputes, personal
injury, products liability and insurance defense. He has broad experience in state and federal court litigation, insurance coverage issues,
contractual matters, and law firm management. His experience includes trial and appellate work related to multi-million dollar insurance
coverage dockets and involvement in many other multi-million dollar matters.
